100 days 100 galleries; Day 92: Agora Gallery, New York NY

Agora Gallery was established by the late Miki Stiles, MFA, to provide opportunities to artists entering the global art market. Ms. Stiles was a visionary who founded the gallery on the principle that all artists benefit from having their artwork promoted by a professional gallery.

Carlos Fentanes: I saw your post about Elijah, what a miraculous journey. The paintings are wonderful. We need more of this.

The gallery liked my comment.

Sometimes you don’t need anymore than a like to continue with your project. Now I have a gallery in New York that shows live signals, I know that they’re hearing. Maybe it’s not too much but after a month when almost anybody ignore me it’s good to find someone that actually reads your DMs. Next step should be comment some of their posts and start a conversation but there’s something in their site that made me suspicious: In their web site there’s information for submissions: They charge $50.00 for review your submission besides a fee for representation and promo services. I have seen before a commission of 50% of the sales for the gallery but never a fee for services that seems to me a little abusive.
