How can I manifest my day?
According to the last letter from Virgin Mary, I must enlist the ingredients, pretty much like asking a coffee in Starbucks: Alto, one shot of espresso, ice, almond milk, and sugar. That’s simple.
Now, what would be the ingredients of my day?
I like to start my day with a bath, then I like to prepare my breakfast, eggs and fruit and walk Lulu around the neighborhood. Walking my dog has become one of the most important parts of my morning routine, it’s where I clean my mind, I am searching for sounds, smells… Now I can distinguish the chirp of a cardinal and its difference to a blue jay… and it’s in these moments where my inspiration arrives, when the ideas came to me. So, it’s easy to put this ingredient in the manifestation of my day.
It was then, while I was walking my dog around the neighborhood that I found Virgo, the tuxedo cat, she saw me and meowed to me as if she was calling me. Lulu started to follow her, I tried to reach her, but she moved and meowed again, she was asking me to follow her. I followed her and she took me to Jorge’s house again; there she stopped and I was able to pet her. Then I ring the bell, Jorge opened the door. “Here’s your cat” I told him. Virgo entered the house as if she was the owner.
Jorge invited me to enter, “Come on in, your dog included” then he petted Lulu.
I tried to apologize. “Sorry, it was not in my plans today to come here, I was doing the exercise of Manifesting my day”.
Jorge was in good mood and almost immediately he said, “And your manifestation brought you here, that’s curious”
I responded, “It was not my manifestation, this damn cat was calling me, asking me to follow her”
Jorge looked at me with an intense interrogation face. “Watch your language, she’s not a damn cat, she’s the messenger and she brought you here”
Something was odd on this sentence, something I didn’t plenty understand, so I said “What do you mean by the messenger? Were you trying to call me? You can send me a message.”
Jorge smiled, “No, I didn’t try to call you. Virgo bought you here because you need to know something, she wants you to receive a message. Not from me, from Virgin Mary I suppose.
I understood that as a challenge, so I answer “Well, I’m here. Let’s see what’s in her mind”.
Jorge tried to reach Virgo, “OK, but I don’t have any idea what she wants to tell you. I need to talk to her first.”
Again, I feel as if I only understand half of the information. “Do you need to talk? How can you talk with a cat? Do you have some kind of translation device?”
Jorge acted natural as if what he was saying was natural. “This cat is an amplifier; I’m using her to amplify the signal from the other side. You should know that our brain is like an antenna and it’s receiving information all the time, it’s so much that the brain prefers to discard all.
I have been using Virgo as my amplifier and tuner, she filters and gives me only one channel to focus and then she amplifies it so the words are clear, that’s how I channel all this letters.”
Jorge grabbed Virgo and the cat started to purr. He petted her for a minute or two and then he left the room.
Jorge disappeared into the study; the house became strangely quiet. Only the sound of her purring can be heard.
After an unbearable amount of time that seemed to me like ten minutes later he returned carrying a folded sheet of paper: Virgin Mary’s letter
“Here’s the message, read it carefully” and handed me over the paper with Virgin Mary’s letter.
Thursday, June 16th
Once upon a time, there was a princess who lived inside a palace so large that she had never reached its final room. She believed the palace was the entire universe because everything she knew existed inside its walls.
One afternoon, while walking through the gardens, she discovered a hungry filthy cat near one of the fountains.
She looked at the creature with horror.
The cat opened its eyes and said:
“You are the most beautiful princess I have ever seen.”
The princess was frightened and screamed. She ran back to the palace and closed every door behind her.
The next morning, however, she returned.
The cat was still there; it was taking some water from the fountain to clean his face even if cats don’t like water.
“You are the most beautiful princess I have ever seen,” it repeated.
Again, she escaped.
And again, the next morning, she returned.
This continued for a year. The cat kept cleaning its face, its body, every day.
Nobody in the palace noticed. The servants continued polishing the mirrors. The guards continued guarding empty corridors. The gardener trimmed the trees.
Until one morning, the princess looked at the cat and realized something terrible:
She was no longer afraid of it.
The creature that had once appeared disgusting had become familiar. And what is familiarity if not the first disguise worn by love?
“Who are you?” she asked.
The cat looked at her with sadness.
“Do not judge me by what you see. I was once a prince.
A witch transformed me into this form.
I was a very bad prince, I was cruel to my subjects, I was cruel with my dad the King and my mom the Queen, I thought I deserved everything.
So, the witch turned me into this, and she told me that only a sincere repentance could return me to myself.”
The princess returned next day to feed him and the cat told her stories of places far away, places never seen before, she was so sad that she was locked inside this palace and unable to see the real world.
The princess listened carefully every story.
She dreamed of seeing the world as the cat was telling his stories.
One day she spoke and this is what she said:
“You seem repented now, why you are not transformed into yourself again?”
The cat just smiled and looked at her as if she already knew the answer.
The princess laughed: “I’m like you, I was locked into these walls unable to leave the palace. I was not transformed into some strange creature but I’m prisoner of my own family. I want to leave this palace with you, so you can show me the world. My father told me that the only way I could leave this palace is if a prince asked for my hand, but I do not know any prince, and nobody knows that I’m locked here”
The cat answered: “I’m a Prince and I know that you are here, I can ask for your hand. I’m going to write a letter to your dad the King and he will allow us to escape this kingdom”
So, he wrote the letter and handed it to the princess so she can deliver it to the King. Next morning the princess ran to his dad the King and gave him the letter, then she ran to the fountain to encounter the prince. At the moment the king opened the letter and read it, there was smoke, thunder, and a sound like a thousand locked doors opening at the same time.
When everything became clear again, the princess looked down.
She was no longer a princess.
She was a cat.
For a moment, she remained silent.
Her reflection in the water showed her a creature she did not recognize. Her old life, her palace, her name, and her certainty had all disappeared.
Then something unexpected happened.
She laughed.
She reached toward the prince, who was still a cat beside her, and held his leg.
Together, they jumped beyond the walls of the palace.
Nobody saw them leave.
Nobody knew where they went.
They were free.
The End
This story is not about manifesting your desires in verbatim. Very few people receive the answer they requested. Most of us receive a different answer, wrapped in a different shape, arriving through a door we never intended to open.
The solution may arrive disguised as a problem.
So, when you see a stray cat in despair, stop and pet it.
A small kindness offered today may become a mysterious protection tomorrow.
Your task this week is simple.
Do not search for a miracle.
Do not kiss a toad.
Just pet a cat.
After you complete this task, you may find the answer you have been searching for.
That is the only promise I can make today.
Jorge started to prepare tea for us. I finished reading the letter and started to pet Virgo. Then I reread again the letter, I didn’t get it, what did it mean?
Virgo stayed at my side during my reading as if she expected some kind of reaction.
Finally, I started to talk: “I don’t get it, why does she want me to read this?”
“Well, I think you’re waiting for a very specific manifestation. If you did your homework and made a list of what you wanted, a very specific list with every detail, now you are waiting for the result, the very exact result that you enlisted there. But what she’s telling you is that your manifestation is already here, even before you wrote it down, but you don’t want to see it.
You are like the princess, but you haven’t realized that you became a cat and now you’re free, that’s what Virgo is trying to tell you.”
“That is as tricky as all those self-help books. So, you are telling me that what I wanted is already here? My mom is cured, my solo show is already programmed, my gallery representation is there and now I only must send the work to the gallery? No, nothing of that is here.”
Jorge poured water into two cups as usual and set the timer, then he walked to the pantry and grabbed a package of cookies and put them on the table. Then he grabbed one cookie. He started to look at the cookie, as if he were a scientist that didn’t know what it is. He raised it up and looked at it through the light of the window, then he split it and looked into the inside as analysing something strange. He smelled it and then finally he tasted, then he started to talk.
“This is a cookie, it has always been a cookie, from the beginning of the process when the ingredients were measured in the bakery through the baking process and then when it arrived here, it always have been a cookie, but it is only when I tasted that the cookie fulfilled its purpose. Don’t expect anything else.”
I was silent, questioning what I was even doing there, what information I expected to get from a cat. I didn’t know what to say. “Should I drink my tea now?”
I grabbed a cookie from the package and stared at it, I didn’t see anything special on the cookie, I just ate it.
