Bau-Xi Gallery was established in 1965 by Bau-Xi Huang in Vancouver to showcase the many Canadian artists in need of gallery representation on the West Coast. Bau-Xi is the oldest commercial gallery in Vancouver, Bau-Xi has been a member of the Art Dealers Association of Canada since the early 1970s and is a founding member of the South Granville Gallery Association. Today the gallery operates in a purpose built, light-filled building on Vancouver’s exclusive Granville Street.
Carlos Fentanes: Bau-Xi is Chinese? I know that this is a name but is it have a meaaning?
The gallery didn’t answer.
Another day another gallery, this one in Canada, in Vancouver that is a very active city in Arts. In their website there’s a page for submissions, their style is very Canadian, they have a lot of landscapes and fauna paintings and also some figurative paintings and abstract, their website is well organized and clean, easy to browse. I think I should submit my work on this one.
